Queers & Queerness in Nature

Queers & Queerness in Nature

Event Date

Location
Student Farm Ecological Garden

Dear queer and LGBTQIA+ folks,

You are invited to a workshop in the Eco Garden Friday, March 8th, from 2-3 pm. We will explore the garden individually, and then discuss together questions such as: Where do you see, or not see, your queerness reflected in nature, in plants, in agriculture? What does it mean for a person or a plant to be “natural?” How do you know? How can plants and land reflect and empower me? How can I protect and empower plants and land?

This workshop will be led by Ebbie, current steward of the Queer Bed, a senior of SAFS, and student farmer in the market garden. They can be contacted for questions or suggestions at esburk@ucdavis.edu

NOTE: Timing of the event has changed, so the flyer below is not up to date. The workshop is 1-2pm.
